About me

Dion Rollerson Jr. is a Black male creative born and raised in San José. While he enjoys designing streetwear, his main focus is on giving back to his community through digital media and murals. As a San José State University graduate in Design Studies, he uses a mix of his academic knowledge, pop culture, and street art to create unique designs that represent his worldview.

Giving back to his community is very important to Dion and he enjoys doing so through artistic means. Over the years he has had the opportunity to work with Hip Hop for Change in helping youth learn about the art of graffiti. At the height of the BLM movement in 2020, he helped create painted wood boards to protect small businesses and curated murals behind San José’s Peace and Justice Center.

In 2022, Dion was able to mix his passion for creating murals and his love for his city by representing San José in the Great Rivers Art Festival in Vancouver, WA where he created his largest mural to date.

In 2025, Dion aims to continue giving back to his community with his latest project, “Kickbackism”. “Kickabackism” is a market and music show that aims to showcase local artists and musicians of San José. Dion’s philosophy in holding markets and music shows is to keep them local and small scale. This ensures that artists have a greater opportunity to build connections and garner profit in contrast to larger markets  where smaller brands might go unnoticed. All in all Dion believes in keeping his events like a “kickback”.
